Have you ever seen a tree that looks like a giant asparagus? Or a tree with leaves on the trunk, instead of bark?
So were some of the trees that lived a few 350 millions of years. They grew huddled in swampy places and gave rise to the world's first forests.
None of these trees reached more than 12 m high. So, they weren't very tall trees. Oaks, elms and other trees measure, as usual, more of 25 m high.
