In North America there is a plant called Indian pipe because it is reminiscent of the pipes that Indians smoked. But it also looks like a ghost plant ! Its flowers are white, and its stem and leaves are also white. Only grows in dark places - like a ghost hiding in a haunted house.
In other time, maybe millions of years ago, the Indian pipe was a green plant, able to make their own food, like most plants. But later he found a partner. A fungus began to grow between the roots of the Indian pipe. The fungus obtained food from the ground and offered part of it to the Indian pipe.
After, the Indian pipe got all its food thanks to the fungus. Slowly it was losing its green color. Now he can no longer make his own food. You can no longer live without your partner.
